Cycling in the Burggrafenamt

Surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery, the Burggrafenamt offers a variety of cycling routes. From easy tours through picturesque landscapes to challenging trails through Alpine scenery, there is something for everyone here:
Enjoy a pleasant bike ride on the Passer cycle path, which runs along the Passer River and offers spectacular views of the surrounding nature.
The Vinschgau cycle path takes you from Merano to Malles, passing picturesque orchards, vineyards and historic villages.
Another wonderful option are the various Alpine tours around Merano 2000 and Schenna, which take you through idyllic forests and meadows to the traditional alpine pastures - perfect for a relaxing break with rare views of Merano and the Adige Valley.

Train & bike

The well-developed cycle paths can be easily combined with the Vinschger Valley railway or other train connections, allowing you to travel effortlessly from one stage destination to the next. Various hire stations in Bozen and Reschen also offer the option of hiring bikes locally and organising your tour flexibly. This means you can enjoy the beauty of the region on two wheels without having to worry about transporting your bike.
